As a medical student or resident doing a core or elective rotation with me you can expect an intense rotation exposing you to the breadth of OB/GYN and to the joys of rural practice. I also strive to expose you to the politics, business, and work-life balance sides of medicine.

During the rotation you can expect to also spend time working with Dr Jessica Rollings-Scattergood, my ob/gyn colleague in Fergus.

To protect the quality of teaching we take no more than two learners at once. Email to let us know what dates you prefer. If the dates work then you can proceed with booking the rotation.

How you book the rotation depends on what medical school you are from and whether you are a student or resident:

McMaster Student – use MedSIS

Other Student – use either AFMC Student Portal ( or ROMP (

Resident – use Mac-CARE Rotation Request Form

If your rotation is 4 weeks or longer the Rural Ontario Medical Program may provide accommodations and a travel stipend. Contact them for more information.
